Salón Gourmets is the main annual showcase of high-end food and beverages. At this top event visitors can find from the most exquisite of traditional products to the newest trends, aimed exclusively at gastronomy professionals.
It’s the number 1 quality food and beverage fair in Europe and one of the most prestigious in the world. With a history of 36 consecutive events, growing numbers and a purely commercial spirit, it is the most visited by national and international professionals in the gastronomic sector: restaurants, hotels, distributors, catering and specialized wholesalers and retailers.
At this year’s event, Lanzarote will promote its gastronomic offering with displays for dozens of local wineries, cheesemakers and products from a wide variety of local products through its local preserves, gofios, chocolates, craft beers, salt and liquors.
Lanzarote Cabildo president, Oswaldo Betancort, stated “Our participation in the Salón Gourmets consolidates our commitment to the primary sector and gastronomy as key elements of our identity and tourist attraction. It is an unbeatable opportunity to show the world the quality of our products and the talent of our chefs.”
“Our young people are the best ambassadors of Lanzarote. They represent the future of our island and should be proud of their roots, of our products that taste like home, that tell stories and that speak of our land.”
Cabildo councillor for economic promotion, Nori Machín, added “Saborea Lanzarote is a fundamental platform for the projection of our enogastronomy at national and international level, betting on innovation without losing the essence and tradition that make our cuisine unique.”
“Seeing students passionate about what is ours, interested in learning about and projecting the flavors of Lanzarote, is a sign that we are sowing well. We bet on youth as a driver of innovation and authenticity, because they are the ones who can best convey to the world what it means to eat on this island.”
