Tías Ayuntamiento have released a map detailing all the road closures on Lanzarote for the upcoming IRONMAN this Saturday, May 20th.
The Ironman contest is Lanzarote’s biggest sporting event, and tourists will have plenty of opportunities to catch this amazing spectacle all over the island.
The race begins at 7am on Saturday 20th of May, on Playa Grande in Puerto del Carmen. It’s well worth setting your alarm for this, as it’s one of the strangest and most impressive spectacles of the day, as hundreds of swimmers in black wetsuits, helmets and goggles plunge into the ocean for a thrashing, wild 3.8 km swim.
