The Cabildo has announced a significant investment of €388,410 to modernise and standardise the island’s network of Tourist Information offices.
The upgrade will cover specialised design services, the development of entertainment software, staff training, and the supply and installation of new exhibition equipment across the office buildings.
Cabildo President, Oswaldo Betancort, stated that “this investment is a fundamental step in our strategy to position Lanzarote as a smart and sustainable tourist destination.” He added, “The modernisation of our Tourist Information offices is key to improving the visitor experience and optimising tourism management.”
Echoing this sentiment, the Vice President and Minister of Planning and Project Coordination, María Jesús Tovar, emphasised the importance of keeping these essential services up to date. “The Cabildo is continuously working to modernise the platforms that promote sustainable tourism,” she said.
The contract for this project is now out to tender.
