Lanzarote hotels and complexes took over a billion Euros in 2025, according to figures from the Canarian Statistics Institute, ISTAC.

The total of €1,021,000,000 is a record, beating the 2024 figure by €49 million and 2023’s takes by €150 million. Over 1.7 million tourists were catered for during the year, staying for an average of 7 days and spending an average of €126 for each night.

The income derives from 60,000 tourist beds in 200 establishments and would have been even higher if some hotels and complexes had not been forced to close by April’s flash floods in Costa Teguise.

Yaiza once again led the field, raising over €415 million in Playa Blanca and Puerto Calero, while Tías accounted for €375.3 million – more than double the total for Teguise (€186 million).

The island’s four other council areas – Arrecife, San Bartolomé, Haría and Tinajo raised €44.5 million between them.

ISTAC estimates that the total raised by holiday rentals last year reached €273 million.
