Lanzarote and the Canaries have been courting the British tourist market at the World Travel Market in London.
This is the first edition of the London trade fair since the pandemic and offers tourism professionals the chance to meet airlines and tour operators. Lanzarote’s representatives have had 33 meeting scheduled over the three days of the fair.
“Thanks to these meetings we can open our doors to new markets, to different tourist profiles and reinforce our connections with the UK “ said Benjamin Perdomo, head of the CACTS on Lanzarote. He stressed that this fair would mainly be concerned with the British market, but that meetings would also take place with representatives from other countries..
The importance of the WTM to the Spanish economy can be measured by the presence of the nation’s tourism minister, Reyes Maroto, as well as the Canarian president, Ángel Victor Torres.
