Lanzarote’s César Manrique Airport saw 799,333 passengers arrive in March, 1% more than last year.
The number is especially notable considering that the Easter holidays fell in March last year, but not this year.
Canarian airports as a whole received more than 5 million visitors in March, an increase of 2.2% on 2024. Fuerteventura saw the biggest increase, of 7.2%, while the islands of El Hierro and la Gomera were the only islands to see a fall in arrivals.
In the first quarter of 2025, over 14 million visitors have arrived at Canarian airports.
Traffic by airports
Gran Canaria Airport recorded the highest number of passengers with 1,489,837, representing an increase of 0.7% compared to March 2024.
It was followed by Tenerife South Airport, with 1,378,759 passengers and an increase of 2.4%; César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 799,333 passengers (+1%); Fuerteventura, with 642,037 (+7.2%); Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 579,507 (+3.3%); La Palma, with 140,285 (+1.1%); El Hierro, with 23,578 (-11.2%); and La Gomera, with 9,508 passengers (-6.4%).

So far this year, Canary Islands airports have registered 14,143,757 passengers, 3.6% more than in the same period in 2024.
Of the 14,052,584 commercial passengers, 4,932,323 travelled on domestic flights, 3.1% more, and 9,120,261 travelled on international flights, 4.2% more than in the same period in 2024.
From January to March 2025, 124,120 aircraft movements were handled, 5.5% more than in the same period in 2024. 5.5% more than in the previous year, and 7,906 tonnes of freight were transported, up 1% on the previous year. tonnes of freight transported, 1% less than in 2024.
