Lanzarote’s César Manrique airport received 744,894 passengers in July this year.
Canarian airports recorded a total of 4,362,551 passengers during the month of July, which exceeded the figures for the same month in 2023 by 6.7%.
Of the total number of passengers recorded last month, 4,332,220 were on commercial flights, of which 2,004,648 flew domestic routes, 5.8% more than in July last year, and 2,327,572 flew international routes, 7.4% more.
In addition, 39,018 aircraft movements were handled, 4.2% more than in the same month of 2023, and 2,882 tonnes of goods transported, 15.1% more.
Traffic by airports
Gran Canaria Airport recorded the highest number of passengers in July, with 1,208,141, 6% more than in July last year.
It is followed by Tenerife South Airport, with 1,079,569 passengers and an increase of 13.8% compared to 2023; César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 744,894 (+1.3%); Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 610. 323 (+6%), recording the month with the highest passenger traffic to date; Fuerteventura, with 548,292 (+5.1%); La Palma, with 130,526 (+5%); El Hierro, with 29,029 (-6.4%) and La Gomera, with 11,777 (-0.4%).

So far this year, Canary Islands airports have recorded 30,160,679 passengers, 9.5% more than in the same period in 2023.
Of the 29,954,321 commercial passengers, 12,181,313 travelled on domestic flights, 8.7% more, and 17,772,918 travelled on international flights, 10.7% more than in the same period in 2023.
From January to July 2024, 267,773 aircraft movements were handled, 8.0% more than in the same period in 2023, and 19,151 tonnes of goods transported, 9.8% more.
