Saborea Lanzarote & La Graciosa achieved record attendance at this year’s GastroCanarias food fair.
The GastroCanarias food fair is the largest in the Canaries, with more than 200 stands, 90 exhibiting companies and a professional attendance of more than 19,000 people over the course of 3 days.
This year, Sabroea Lanzarote & La Graciosa featured as a guest island at the fair and became the centre of the events thanks to its large kitchen that allowed for tasting of Lanzarote wines, local cheeses, craft beers and a menu of dishes throughout the event.
Cabildo President, Oswaldo Betancort, stated his satisfaction for “achieving not only a great attendance at the stand and activities, but for having been able to show the entire national sector the strength of the gastronomy and products of Lanzarote and to have rediscovered the rich and differential cuisine of La Graciosa”.
The island’s stand received more than 1,000 active participants in the show cooking, tastings and served more than 800 dishes. In addition, the stand received approximately 1,200 people per day.
