Juan Machín, the oldest member of the PP in Lanzarote, has died at the age of 106.
“Juan Machín has left us at the age of 106. The oldest member of the PP in Lanzarote. But he is also a very dear person whom I loved very much. I am very sad. A big hug and big kiss to all his relatives. DEP MACHIN”, stated the Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, on social media.
“A man of strong convictions and character, with great strength and vitality, cheerful, a friend of his friends, who knew how to face difficult moments with integrity but also to fully enjoy all the good things that life gave him”, Pérez continued.
“Today is undoubtedly a sad day for the Partido Popular family because the longest-serving member is no longer with us, who throughout these years has shared the important moments with us, always ready. Without a doubt Machín leaves a very big void, not only on a personal level but also a political family.”
“One of the greats has gone, rest in peace”, the mayor said in closing.
