Inter-island flights between Lanzarote and Tenerife increase

Inter-island flights between Lanzarote and Tenerife have grown this year, increasing by 9% in July and August compared to last year.

According to data ISTAC so far this year 565,018 passengers have been registered (counting entries to each island) between Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. The number of passengers between Lanzarote and the capital island has increased by 5.2% compared to the first eight months of 2023.

Flights between Tenerife and Lanzarote are the second most popular with 323,088 passengers recorded between both islands, an increase of 5% compared to 2023.

Flights between Lanzarote and La Palma recorded 12,017 passengers so far this year, a decrease of only 0.1%.

However, travel between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote decreased by 41.6% with just 348 passengers making round trips between the two islands so far this year.
