Hotel prices rose by 5% in the Canary Islands last May, which is below the national average of 8.1%.
The hotel price rises come as demand is on the up, with overnight stays in hotels in Spain exceeding 35.7 million in May, an 11% increase over May 2023.
Andalusia, Catalonia and the Valencian Community were the main destinations for travellers residing in Spain in May, with price increases of 17.1%, 14% and 10.6%.
The main destinations for non-residents were the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and the Canary Islands, with price rises of 7.7%, 5.7% and 5%.
The areas the lowest price increases in May are Navarra with a 2.8% increase, Extremadura with a 2.9% increase, La Rijoa with a 3.1% increase and Asaurias with a 4.4% increase.
