Heatwave Expected to Ease in Lanzarote

The heatwave of the last few days is expected to ease off this afternoon, although a yellow heat alert will remain in place until 8pm.

After a day when temperatures reached 32 degrees in some inland areas, and wind was almost non-existent, the prevailing alisio north wind is predicted to resume this afternoon, bringing stiff breezes over the next few days, and temperatures in the low 20s from tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.

The UV index will remain extremely high at 11, meaning that extra care should be taken in the sun.
