Lanzarote will continue on a yellow heat alert for the daylight hours of today and tomorrow, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
Heat is predicted to be at its worse inland, and there may be further episodes of calima conditions.
Wednesday promises to be slightly cooler, with no yellow alert, but daytime temperatures are predicted to remain in the low 30s for most of the week.
