Arrecife will hold several events relating to the world of comics, animation, manga and anime this Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Titled “Friki Arrecife” (Friki is the Spanish word for a geek), the campaign is aimed at promoting business and commerce in Arrecife’s centre.
The events will start at 5pm on Friday in La Plazuela, with children’s workshops and board games, musical performances based on TV and film soundtracks and a street parade by characters such as Pikachu, Asterix & Obelix and Super Mario.
Saturday morning will also see activities and music in La Plazuela from 11 am, as well as on the Calle Hermanos Zerolo (opposite Hiperdino).
The project has been organised by the local federation of small and medium business, Arrecife’s commerce department and the Canarian Government.
