The components of four new wind turbines have arrived on Lanzarote and will be assembled by the end of the year.
The turbines will measure 120 metres in height, including their blades, and were manufactured in Germany. They will be assembled in autumn, when there is less wind on the island, and should be ready to operate by the end of the year.
They will be located in San Bartolomé, near the Zonzamas area and be similar to the existing Teguise I windfarm on the coast between Arrecife and Costa Teguise.
