Four teenagers have been arrested and charged with the murder of 17-year-old Lanzarote lad Yeray Sánchez, who was stabbed to death outside a McDonalds on The Old Kent Road in London on August 27th.
Yeray, who lived in Southeast London and had spent the last two summers working on Lanzarote events with the TecnoSound Canarias company, died of his injuries on September 3rd. A friend, who was also aged 17, was also stabbed but survived.
The suspects, aged between 15 and 17 years old, cannot be named as they are minors. All have been charged with murder and grievous bodily harm, and two with possession of offensive weapons. It is reported that at least one of the accused required a Spanish interpreter.
