Five-Year-Old Boy Fighting for Life After Hotel Pool Incident in Puerto del Carmen

A five-year-old boy remains in critical condition after a near-drowning at a hotel swimming pool in Puerto del Carmen on Friday evening, June 26th.

According to the emergency services, the alarm was raised at around 6:12 p.m. after reports that a child had been pulled from the pool.

Emergency services responded swiftly, dispatching two ambulances alongside officers from the Guardia Civil and the Local Police.

Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before stabilising him and transporting him in a critical condition to Dr. José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are now under investigation by the relevant authorities.
