Famara fiestas start

Famara begins to celebrate its fiestas today, which will reach their climax next weekend.

As Arrecife’s fiestas de San Ginés come to an end tonight with the big concert by Sebástian Yatra at 8pm, the small village of Caleta de Famara will launch its festivities for the Sacred Heart of Mary tonight at 9 pm.

A week of activities will follow, with several concerts in the pier area. The fiestas will reach their climax next Sunday, the 1^st September, with a maritime procession at midday followed by the famous water party.
