The prisoner that escaped during a talk at a local school about reinsertion into society has been found and arrested in Fuerteventura.
At the start of this month, news broke that a prisoner from the Tahiche jail had escaped custody after giving a talk at a local school about reinsertion into society.
After escaping, the Guardia Civil launched an investigation in order to track down the 48-year-old’s whereabouts and bring him back to the jail in Tahiche. Through collaboration with the police in Fuerteventura, a search was initiated, and he was found to be moving locations frequently in Fuerteventura.
The 48-year-old was eventually found hiding in an animal pen under a wooden cart and wrapped in plastic bags to conceal himself.
