Registration for one of the most popular mountain races in the Canary Islands is now open.
Famara will once again become the epicentre of trail running on the island with the upcoming eighth edition of the Famara Total race this August. The mountain race has established itself as one of the greatest sporting challenges in the Canary Islands.
The new edition will feature four categories with distances of 7.5, 15, 25, and 50 kilometres. In addition to this, the Vertical Famara Total race will take place in which runners will have to climb the Risco de Famara to reach the finish line at the Ermita de la Nieves.
Registration is now open and can be done through the event organiser website: www.famaratotal.com. There are limited places available for each race category.
Follow along anywhere in the world
The entire Vertical Famara Total race will be shown on a large screen on the Caleta de Famara pier, however, it will also be livestreamed and available to be watched from anywhere.
Those that wish to watch the race via livestream will be able to do so on the Vertical Famara Total Facebook page on the day of the race (August 18th). Thanks to GPS trackers, viewers will be able to see the times and positions of each competing athlete also.
