The National Police have conducted 13 arrests and 12 house searches in Arrecife, seizing 84,000 euros and large quantities of cocaine and heroin.
Throughout last December, the National Police arrested 13 men between the ages of 28 and 57, all of which had existing police records relating to drug trafficking charges.
As part of the investigation, 12 homes were searched resulting in 84,000 euros cash, 3,400 grams of cocaine and 80 grams of heroin being seized by the police.
With the help from Portuguese police, a member of the organisation was arrested upon arrival at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado airport with almost 30,000 euros in cash.
