Diver dies in Puerto del Carmen

A diver has tragically passed away in Puerto del Carmen yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 12:00pm yesterday afternoon, a boat sailing along Puerto del Carmen’s seafront spotted the unresponsive diver at La Tiñosa pier.

The group on the boat pulled the diver out of the water, alerted the emergency services and quickly brought him to shore where an emergency team were waiting to perform resuscitation manoeuvres.

Tragically, the medical team were unable to resuscitate the young diver and later confirmed his death.
