Disruptive Passenger Delays Ryanair Flight from Lanzarote by Nearly Two Hours

A Ryanair flight from Lanzarote to Birmingham was delayed by almost two hours on Thursday after a disruptive passenger was removed from the aircraft before takeoff.

According to a passenger seated in the front row, the woman was escorted off the plane after she was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, preventing flight FR1449 from departing on schedule.

The witness said the passenger was taken to a bus waiting beside the aircraft, where she reportedly lost consciousness briefly and received attention from emergency personnel while the situation was brought under control.

Guardia Civil officers attended the scene and assisted with the incident before the aircraft was cleared to continue its journey.

The flight eventually departed at around 8:40 p.m., approximately two hours later than scheduled.

Incidents involving disruptive passengers, particularly those suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, continue to cause delays and operational disruption on flights serving popular tourist destinations, with safety remaining the priority for airlines and airport authorities.
