The Salvamar Acrux rescued a boat late on Friday night after it was located around 56 miles east of Lanzarote. Official sources said the vessel had departed from Morocco.

The boat arrived in Arrecife at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday carrying 49 people, all male, including two minors.

On arrival, the migrants were assessed by medical teams and Red Cross volunteers. All were reported to be in good health and none required hospital treatment.

The rescue follows the arrival of another irregular vessel on Thursday, which brought 81 people.
