A 70-year-old male cyclist died while climbing to the Castillo de Santa Barbara, overlooking Teguise yesterday.
Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the cyclist for around 45 minutes but were unsuccessful.
Sources claim that the cause of death was heart failure.
