Work continues apace on the Costa Teguise preferential bus station. The building is now in the final stages of construction, and the Cabildo expects it to open before the end of the year.

The site was recently visited by Cabildo President Oswaldo Betancort and Vice President María Jesús Tovar, as well as representatives from the Canarian regional government and Teguise council.  Betancort said “The goal is not only to improve public transport, but also to create a modern, friendly, and people-friendly urban space.”

María Jesús Tovar said “we are committed to infrastructure that transforms citizens’ daily lives and strengthens social cohesion, with shaded areas, green spaces, basic services, and universal accessibility.” She indicated that the project cost just over €2 million and is financed with EU Next Generation funds.
