Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has extended the yellow alert for rough coastal conditions to Saturday. North winds of 50-60 kph (Force 7) and waves from the north and northwest that could reach 4-5 metres in height are forecast

The alert comes into force tomorrow (Friday 12th) at 3pm and will now continue until midnight on Saturday, with the possibility of further extension. The Canarian Government’s pre-alert for rough seas, issued on Wednesday 3rd December, also remains in place.

AEMET also predicts a fairly wet weekend, with plenty of cloud and the possibility of storms.  Temperatures will fall on Friday as a cold front arrives, with an average of 15 degrees Celsius on Friday afternoon, dropping to 13 degrees at night.
