Residents and visitors can expect a mixed bag of weather conditions this weekend, according to the latest forecast from the AEMET.
Saturday will begin under cloudy skies across the island. These clouds are expected to give way to clearer conditions by the afternoon. Temperatures will see little change, ranging from 16 degrees to 22 degrees Celsius.
The wind will be a notable feature on Saturday. A moderate northerly wind is forecast, with strong gusts developing on the southern slopes during the afternoon. Into the latter part of the day, these gusts could exceed 50 kilometres per hour.
Looking ahead to Sunday, temperatures will remain steady. Expect lows around 14 degrees and highs of approximately 21 degrees. The cloud cover will follow a similar pattern, with cloudy intervals giving way to extensive clear spells in the afternoon.
The forecast for Sunday indicates winds will be light to moderate, initially from the northeast. They are predicted to shift and come from the northwest during the second half of the day.
