Two of the most impressive displays of Christmas lights on Lanzarote are now switched on and delighting locals and visitors.

San Bartolomé always puts on a memorable display and the lights in the town at the centre of Lanzarote are as impressive as ever, with glowing displays on the main street and the palms in the Parque Félix Rodriguez de la Fuente decked out in twinkling fairly lights. The park is also the site of the town’s lovely belén.

On Friday, Tinajo also flicked the switch, illuminating a huge display in the shape of the Monumento del Campesino in honour of César Manrique. To experience it to the best effect we’d advise arriving from Tiagua on the LZ-20 road after dark.
