Christmas lights will be flickering on all over the island this weekend.
Yesterday evening saw the lights switched on in the town of Yaiza, which will present its famous nativity scene later today.
Arrecife will officially turn its lights on this evening, at 7pm at Playa Reducto. San Bartolomé will also throw the switch near the Ayuntamiento building this evening.
Tías will turn its lights on at 7 pm tomorrow (Saturday), as well as presenting its open-air nativity scene. This will take place at the Plaza del Iglesia de San Antonio.
Tinajo’s light show – usually one of the most spectacular on the island – is scheduled to open next weekend, as is that of Haría.
