Three people involved in a cannabis shop in Puerto del Carmen have been arrested by the Guardia Civil as they were selling marijuana and targeting tourists.
On March 9th, the Guardia Civil arrested three people working at a local cannabis club in Puerto del Carmen, aged between 37 and 43. All three of which had previous convictions for crimes against public health and drug trafficking.
The vendors used the cannabis club as a cover for their marijuana selling business. Upon searching the shop, the Guardia Civil seized 740 grams of marijuana, 220 grams of hashish and cash.
Under the guise of a cannabis club, the shop owners would target tourists in Puerto del Carmen and sell the drugs to them in the shop.
The shop has since been closed and sealed by the Guardia Civil. All three suspects are now awaiting the following legal proceedings.
