Tomorrow is Canary Day, an official holiday throughout the islands, so many businesses will be closed.
Tomorrow is Canary Day, the day when all eight Canary Islands celebrate their culture on the anniversary of the first sitting of the Canarian Parliament.
The date is a public holiday on the Canary Islands, meaning that schools, public buildings, and several shops are likely to be closed, especially outside the resorts. As it’s not a national holiday, low energy tariffs will not apply.
There’ll be concerts and events taking place all over the island, and you’re likely to see shop assistants and other workers decked out in Canarian costumes.
Have a fantastic holiday!
Magazine distribution
With many businesses closing for Canary Day this Thursday, we will start distributing the new June magazine today (May 29th) and on Friday (May 31st).
