Canarian Government launches potato campaign

“Help yourself to a potato, but make it Canarian” is the slogan that the Canarian Government has launched to promote the sale of Canarian spuds.

The recent rains mean that potato producers on the islands are expecting a bumper crop, and the regional government hopes to encourage consumers to buy local, stressing the freshness and quality of local potatoes, as well as their important role in local cuisine. 

The campaign will run on local TV and social media, with the participation of Canarian chefs and farmers.
