Ángel Vázquez, the Cabildo Councillor in charge of the CACTS (Centres of Arts, Culture and Tourism) was injured last night after his car rolled over near Zonzamas.
The councillor apparently lost control of his car due to water on the road. The vehicle lefty the road and rolled over, ending up on its wheels. Emergency services were called to the incident at 6.42 pm yesterday and had to use specialist equipment to free the councillor, who was able to walk to the ambulance once freed.
He is currently in hospital with a fractured elbow and vertebrae.
