The Lanarote Cabildo will reinforce the 62 bus line running between Playa Blanca and Arrecife with five new buses, and they announced that you will soon be able to recharge bus passes at the Intercambiador in Arrecife and the Playa Blanca bus station.

During the presentation that took place yesterday, Transport and Mobility Councillor, Domingo Cejas, announced the acquisition of five new buses for the 62 bus line and announced that the Arrecife Intercambiador stop and the Playa Blanca bus station will soon have points at which regular bus users can recharge their cards.

Up until now users of the Bono Residente Lanzarote and Bono Residente Canario cards could only recharge the card by going to the main bus station in Arrecife – soon they will be able to recharge them at the Playa Blanca station and the intercambiador on the Arrecife seafront.

Additionally, the information and times signs at bus stops around the island will be renewed.

THE 62 LINE

The 62 bus line was recently introduced to the existing timetable to allow for more buses carrying passengers between Playa Blanca and Arrecife. The 62 follows the same route as the 60 line but skips stops to arrive at the stations earlier.
