The body of a 60-year-old man was discovered floating off Playa de las Cucharas in Costa Teguise yesterday.
The discovery was made by a bather who spotted the body floating face-down around 150 metres offshore from the Los Charcos area of the beach at around 3.30 pm yesterday.
The body was retrieved, and sources indicate that it had been in the water for at least 10 hours.
