Beloved “Doctora Conce” at Arrecife retires

There were tears and applause at the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital yesterday as Dr. Conce Pérez, Head of Pediatrics, was given a warm and emotional send off by past and present colleagues on her retirement.

Dr. Pérez started work in 1980, and in 1983 became the first female doctor at the hospital.

Retired colleagues made a special trip to the hospital to join the traditional human corridor down which retiring staff pass.
