A man has been arrested by the Guardia Civil and Yaiza local police for attempted murder after being found trying to flee to Fuerteventura on the ferry.
At the end of last year, December 29th, the Guardia Civil and Yaiza local police arrested a 29-year-old man trying to flee to Fuerteventura after committing a stabbing in Tías.
The 29-year-old was spotted by an off-duty police officer waiting to get on the same ferry to Fuerteventura at the Playa Blanca port. The officer alerted other agents to the 29-year-old who was then placed under arrest.
The 29-year-old had been searched for by the Guardia Civil since December 27th. The 29-year-old is accused of stabbing the person who lived with him several times before quickly leaving the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in Arrecife and was immediately taken into surgery and placed on the intensive care unit.
