Arrecife will unveil its spectacular nativity scene at 7 pm today.
In recent years, Arrecife’s nativity has come to compete with Yaiza’s in terms of size and popularity. An immense tableau representing the whole island and filled with tiny figures carrying out traditional activities, from shopping in the market to fishing
The nativity will be located in the Parque José Ramírez Cerda, the Manrique-designed park on the seafront of the capital.
The opening ceremony will be preceded by a “Christmas flashmob” on Calle Real and a magic show in the Plaza de la Constitución. At 8pm, a Christmas concert will take place on the seafront.
