Between January and February this year, Arrecife’s port recorded a 28.4% increase in cruise passenger arrivals.
According to data from the Las Palmas Port Authority, its ports received a total of 600,169 cruise passengers in the first two months of the year. The port with the highest increase in cruise passengers was Fuerteventura (41.2%), followed by Arrecife (28.4%), and Gran Canaria (21.4%).
President of the Port Authority, Beatriz Calzada, stated “With these figures we will present ourselves at the Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, the main world fair of the cruise sector to be held in April.”
“We will be able to present the new cruise terminals in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and show the progress of the one in Las Palmas, which will be the largest cruise terminal in Europe.”
