Arrecife chooses Disney as the theme for 2025 carnival

Eight themes were voted on by Arrecife residents to decide the theme for next year’s carnival, with Disney winning with 22% of the votes.

“The people of Arrecife have chosen, and now Arrecife Ayuntamiento will begin to work in that line, preparing the city and counting on all groups, as has been done so far, so that the capital of Lanzarote again have a carnival worthy of the third capital of the Canary Islands. The capital carnival should be a reflection of the tastes and preferences of our people. This is a participatory party where every person counts and we are committed to work in a coordinated and joint way to make it a success,” deputy mayor, Echedey Eugenio stated.

The eight themes that were proposed included: Disney, Ancient Civilisations, Adventures, Fairy-Tale, Travellers from around the world, Murgero World, Ancient Rome and 30’s Chicago Gangsters.
