Anti-hunting demonstrations hit the streets of Arrecife

Arrecife was once again one of several Spanish cities that saw a protest against the mistreatment of hunting dogs yesterday.

The No A La Caza (No To Hunting) platform has organised similar protests for the last 15 years, which have taken place in at least 40 cities in Spain. The Arrecife demonstration took place opposite the law courts.

The lively demonstration condemned the routine mistreatment of hunting dogs and was also highly critical of the 2023 Spanish animal welfare law which excluded “sporting dogs” from protections afforded to other breeds.
