Lanzarote’s César Manrique Airport has received 644,000 passengers from January to May this year, an increase of 11.2% on last year’s figures.

The figures confirm Lanzarote as the Canaries’ third-busiest airport after Gran Canaria and Tenerife Sur, and the one with the second-highest rate of growth after Tenerife Sur.

Canarian airports have recorded a total of almost twenty million passengars so far this year, an increase on the same period of months compared to the year previous.

Gran Canaria Airport recorded the largest number of passengers in May with almost one million passengers, followed by Tenerife South which recorded 868,000 passengers, and Lanzarote which recorded 644,000 passengers.
