27 Lanzarote flights were affected by yesterday’s failure of flights systems in the United Kingdom, resulting in delays and cancellations, and causing long queues in the airport.
Lanzarote was the second-worst affected Canarian airport after Tenerife, where 40 flights were delayed or cancelled and Red Cross volunteers brought beds and hygiene kits for elderly passengers and families with small children.
The systems failure is now repaired and normal service is forecast for today and beyond.
