AENA, Spain’s airport authority, will spend over €327 million on César Manrique Airport between 2027 and 2031.

The total earmarked for the five-year period is more than eight times higher than the €39 million invested in the airport in the period from 2021 to 2026.

€144 million will be spent on the expansion of the current airport facilities, which will integrate the existing two terminals into a single complex. This will permit the expansion of areas for check-in, security and passport control, as well as a larger boarding zone and more boarding gates.

Separate zones for Schengen and non-Schengen traffic will also be created, while the baggage claim area and carousels will also be expanded, and passenger services will be improved. The project also includes the expansion of the aircraft parking area.
