Spain’s Meteorological Agency (AEMET) have announced that they will activate a yellow calima warning on Lanzarote and Fuerteventura this Thursday.

The island can expect the arrival of a calima this Thursday, with AEMET activating a yellow warning for a calima which will affect visibility and air quality.

Calimas generally won’t stop you from being able to go out and about on Lanzarote, unless visibility is very poor. However, those who suffer from asthma (or other breathing issues) may want to stay indoors on Thursday with the windows closed.

The yellow warning will begin at midnight on Thursday and remain active all day.
