We’re saddened to hear of the recent death of Feliciana Gil Ferraz – better known as Nina – the “Godmother” of UD Lanzarote who could usually be seen selling raffle tickets for the club as fans filed into the stadium on a Sunday morning.
Nina died in the early hours of the 20th October at the age of 86. The club she loved have said that her passing “leaves a huge hole in the heart of UD Lanzarote”, and a minute’s silence is scheduled for this Sunday’s match at the Ciudad Deportivo.
