Another abandoned hotel in Costa Teguise is due to be demolished after its constructors have applied for permission to clear the site.
The “skeleton hotel” on plot 242-B, located at the eastern end of the Avenida de las Palmeras, will be demolished by its promoters, Promontoria Coliseum Real Estate S.L.U, who applied to carry out the work last month.
The news was revealed by Socialist opposition members on Teguise Ayuntamiento, who have long been accusing Mayor Oswaldo Betancort of inaction on the topic of abandoned hotels.
They claim that action has only been taken to demolish the illegal hotels once the courts threatened to sequester money for public officials.
