The new port in Playa Blanca is closing in on completion this year and is a lot bigger in person than the blueprints show. We took a look on Sunday.
The Playa Blanca port has been in construction for a couple years now, and the businesses near it will be happy to know that the port is nearing completion and they will soon have their view back, albeit with less sea to see.
What used to be sea views for many of the shops in the C.C Punta Limones, is now a view over the brand-new port.
I haven’t seen the new port in some time, and the last time caught a glimpse it was just piles of rocks and sand to build upon.
The new port will have a large and roofed carpark, with space for up to 190 vehicles, plenty of greenery and 3 points for boarding the boats.
