A 79-year-old woman died after being knocked down by a lorry in Arrecife yesterday morning,
The incident occurred at around 10 am at the junction of C/ Hermanos Zerolo, a pedestrianised street and the narrow Calle Cienfuegos.
Emergency services have said they are considering the possibility that the tragedy was caused by brake failure.
